MBH 3D Shoot Update Survey
Hello MBH Members,
The board of Governors and shoot committee are reaching out to the membership in regards to updating the official policies regarding a few different topics. Recently at the Rendezvous membership meeting these topics were discussed and no decisions were made due to the organization's leadership wanting to survey the entire membership and not just those in attendance at the meeting.
The basic desire for the possible policy changes is to fall more in line with the various 3D archery events across the state that are currently very popular. The hope is that these changes will help attract more shooters and in return, new members to MBH.
The topics at hand are the following:
1. Increasing the maximum distance for targets in by 5 yards max. This does not mean that all targets will be moved back or made more difficult. It only means that the possibility exists for longer sets to be made if the situation calls for it.
2. Allowing the use of rangefinders on the courses. The unknown range classes are very unpopular with current shooters and the relative affordability of rangefinders now a days. Most hunters use range finders while hunting and like to practice with them as well.
